We supported a focus group workshop led by Dr Rebecca Mawson, exploring non-hormonal contraception and the development of new contraceptive options.

A warm thank you to all the women who took part and Dr Rebecca for leading the workshop.

BIRTHING STORIES: WORKSHOP 2

Women came together to share experiences of pregnancy, birth and motherhood through creativity and conversation, bringing together voices and perspectives from different cultures and backgrounds.

A warm thank you to all the women who took part and shared their experiences, and to Dr Veronica Barnsley from the University of Sheffield, Shirin Teifouri from Connected Worlds, and Natasha Smith from Eden Script for leading the workshop with warmth, creativity and care.

BIRTHING STORIES: WORKSHOP 1

The first of two Birthing Stories workshops, supported by Furaha Women, created a warm and welcoming space for women to share birth stories across cultures and generations.

Women from seven different countries took part, each sharing their own stories and experiences.

The workshop was led by Dr Veronica Barnsley from the University of Sheffield, Shirin Teifouri from Connected Worlds, and Natasha Smith from Eden Script.

A heartfelt thank you to all the women who shared their stories, and to everyone who helped lead and support the workshop.

Women’s Experiences of Pain Relief During Labour

We are grateful to have supported and organised this panel discussion exploring women’s experiences of pain relief during labour from ethnic minority communities.

Thank you to Dr Ella Quintela and Dr Becky Mawson for sharing this important summary report, and heartfelt thanks to all the women who gave their time and shared their experiences so openly

It was meaningful to be part of these conversations and to support women in sharing their stories and perspectives.
