Furaha Women’s Hub CIC is a Sheffield-based community organisation supporting women from all ethnic and underserved backgrounds. “Furaha” means happiness in Swahili, reflecting our aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space where women feel connected, valued and supported.
Founded in 2025, Furaha Women’s Hub brings women together through regular activities including our Friday coffee mornings, wellbeing sessions and community workshops. We aim to foster social connection, reduce isolation and create opportunities for women to build friendships and a sense of belonging.
We also help women access information and services by providing practical support such as signposting, form filling and assistance with communication with professionals. Alongside our community activities, we support research and engagement projects that help ensure women’s voices and experiences are heard and represented.
